Cycling Ascent to Golte

JUNE – Traditional cycling event

The ascent to Golte, a 13 km long cycling race, that was attended by great cyclists such as Vincenzo Nibali, Carlos Sastre, Juan Jose Cobo and others, and counts as a classifier for the Slovenian Cup. Nicknamed the “professional slope” by cyclists, it is where is where best amateur cyclist compete. Delighted by fans will cheer you on while you overcome 975 m altitude difference between Mozirje and the Alpine Garden. Fan or cyclist, you will certainly not be bored on the Golte, as you can also take advantage of numerous opportunities for outdoor activities.
