The Great Summer Exotic Animal Exhibition

The traditional summer BIOEXO exhibition showcases exotic animals and summer flowers.

Mozirski Gaj invites you to the summer exhibition of exotic animals and seasonal flowers, traditionally organised in cooperation with the Exotic Animal Lovers Association – Bioexo.

All fans of exotic animals will be delighted, especially those who love snakes and stick insects.

Snake enthusiasts are already familiar with the long and stunning beauties – pythons and other snakes – but this year, for the first time, the exhibition will feature a family that breeds stick insects and keeps as many as 40 different species at home. You’ll be able to see some of them in the park, and Igor – the breeder – together with the Pajič family, will be available throughout the exhibition to answer any questions, as stick insects are often the very first exotic pet children wish for.

The exhibition will also feature exotic birds, turtles, several lizards, and insects. But that’s not all waiting for you in the park these days! On Friday and Saturday, August 15 and 16, members of the Šmartno ob Paki Society for Traditional Techniques will bring their vintage vehicles to the park.

You can also enjoy other smaller exhibitions, including a beekeeping display, a showcase of traditional Ljubno palm bundles, and a photography exhibition by the SVIT Photography Club. Additionally, you’ll find stands of local artisans and small businesses. And above all, a stunning flower park awaits you – the summer-autumn planting is now in full bloom, complemented by beautiful themed gardens and historic buildings that tell the old stories of the Upper Savinja Valley.

Unique themed gardens await you. You’ll have the chance to play the largest tuned wind chimes in Europe and explore historic buildings. You can cool off in the shade of the trees and listen to the gentle babbling of the water. You can play and have fun in our beautiful playground made from natural materials. In the Enchanted Village, hidden in the little houses, fairies and other magical creatures await you—they’ll whisper secrets to you if you know how to listen.
