A successful end of winter season on Golte
After 107 days of operation, the ski season at Golte concluded on Sunday, March 23. The season was a success, marked by numerous musical and entertainment events, as well as the launch of domes offering a unique 5-star glamping experience under the stars.
The ski season opened on December 6, 2024, with a partial opening of the slopes. Thanks to a combination of natural snowfall and artificial snowmaking, skiing was possible until March 23. Compared to last year, when the season started only on January 15, this season recorded significantly more ski days, as well as a 155% increase in the number of skiers. Visitors were predominantly from Croatia, Slovenia, and Hungary, with some also coming from Israel, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
However, the season was not just about skiing – a new tourism product was introduced: a 5-star stargazing experience in exclusive domes. At the highest point of Golte, near the reservoir at an altitude of 1,550 meters, four exclusive domes were set up. Each dome has 1/3 of its surface transparent, allowing an unobstructed view of the starry sky, while visitors can explore the universe with telescopes.
As of Monday, March 24, 2025, Wellness Hotel Montis**** has closed its doors until further notice, and the cable car has also ceased operation. Visitors are invited to return for the summer season. The Adventure Park will soon reopen, with the highlight being June 7, when Golte will host the highest climb of the 4th royal stage of the Tour of Slovenia, along with the My Tour of Slovenia recreational cycling experience, open to all cycling enthusiasts.
