Culinary Weekend in Savinjska at the End of August
The Savinja Valley, known for its authentic and diverse cuisine, will be a true feast for food lovers on the last weekend of August – with three culinary events lined up: the Long Table, the Šaleška Beer Festival, and Strudelfest.
The Long Table – a story wrapped around a fork.
Under the soft glow of summer lights and amidst the walls of the historic town square, the Long Table will come alive again on Friday, August 29 2025, at 7 p.m. — a culinary evening where flavors, stories, and pleasant company intertwine.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the event once again puts Šili homemade pasta at the center, delighting guests with a superb six-course menu prepared by renowned chef Jure Dretnik (GT19), recipient of Gault&Millau awards and Young Talent 2025. Wine pairing will be provided by Hiša dobrih vin Koželj, and a musical performance will add an extra touch of romance to the evening.
