Ethno Village Luče

In the immediate vicinity of Luče lies the charming Ethno Village Luče, a park of eight houses, where locals present their handcrafts, from forging to tailoring. Along the lively Savinja River and the imposing, photogenic dam, delve into the history and idyllic environment.

A Stamp of Heritage

Houses in the village are built from the old wood with handcrafted furniture and tools. Among the attractions are a woodworking, shoemaking, tailoring and blacksmith workshop, a chimneyless kitchen, a mill and a house with a bread oven with an old pharmacy. Near the houses there is also a forestry hut and a skorjevka, which illustrate an important part of the forestry tradition in Luče.

Etno Village Luče, an Open Museum 

Etno Village is an open museum that you can visit at any time. If you want to visit the inside of the houses and listen to the stories of the past craftspeople, you can choose a free guided tour.  The guided tours are available in July and August on Thursdays and Fridays between 17 and 19h. Free tours start ar the hour. Outside hour visits are available upon the request.
