Sheep Festival in Šmihel nad Mozirjem
18.8.2024 - ŠMIHEL NAD MOZIRJEM - a traditional ethnological event with a demonstration of the old customs of life under the Mozirje mountain Once a year, on the third Sunday in August, the old customs and customs of the former farmsteads are revived at the traditional Sheep Festival in Šmihel nad Mozirjem. The organiser, the Šmihel Rural Youth Association, in cooperation with other organisations and a number of individuals, has set up an event area with a wooden mountain corral and many stands offering local products from the farms and the cuisine of the local local housewives, beekeepers and others. Sheep breeding, farm and forestry work is the main feature of the event, which is also enriched by a great raffle.
