Did you know that a very special sheep calls the Solčavsko region home? Taller in stature and well-adapted to walking on steep alpine pastures, the Jezersko–Solčava sheep is an indigenous breed of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. It originated from crossbreeding the small native white sheep with the Bergamasca and Padovana breeds. Each year , this unique breed is celebrated over two days of exciting events during the Bicka Festival. Come and meet this charming animal and discover the many uses of its products. Children especially enjoy the festival and always learn something new!
