The Long Table
Under the stars of the historic town square, the Long Table will come alive again on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 7 p.m. This culinary evening will be filled with flavors, stories, and delightful company. The highlight will be Šili homemade pasta, accompanied by a six-course menu crafted by renowned chef Jure Dretnik (GT19), recipient of the Young Talent 2025 award. Wine pairing will be provided by Hiša dobrih vin Koželj, while the atmosphere and decoration will be arranged by the Šaleška Valley Tourism Institute and florist Simon Ogrizek. The evening will be enriched with music and a warm, inviting ambiance.

The event will be designed with sustainability in mind – using local and seasonal ingredients, avoiding plastic, and minimizing waste. We encourage arriving on foot, by bike, or by the free Lokalec shuttle. For those coming by car, we recommend parking at the Mercator Center Velenje garage.
