Notice about the Fire on the Golte Plateau

On 22 October 2025, a fire broke out in the early morning hours in the area of the Trije Ploti Hut on the Golte Plateau.

Firefighters from PGD Mozirje and PGD Rečica ob Savinji responded immediately and successfully extinguished the fire. Two neighbouring huts used for hospitality and tourism purposes — Koča Trije Ploti Hut and Koča Pr’ Žlajferju Hut — were destroyed in the incident. Fire crews remain on site, and the investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing.

🚫 Visitors are kindly asked to avoid the affected area

For safety reasons and due to the ongoing investigation, visitors are advised not to enter or approach the area around Trije Ploti Hut and its surroundings until further notice.

Other tourist spots and accommodations on Golte remain open

Despite the closure of the area near the lake, other attractions and hiking routes on Golte remain open and safe to visit.
