Trail Description

The marked trail starts behind the primary school, when you reach an asphalt crossroads, turn left onto the road towards the farm Jesevnik. After about 300m at the crossroads, turn right towards the farm Verbuč. Follow the road up to the nearby chapel, which stands next to the Verbuč homestead. At the chapel, the path turns left leads you along a plain for a few minutes, and then begins to climb.

A forest road will lead you to paved road for Golte. After crossing the road, the trail runs along the meadow past the chapel to Gostečnik’s homestead (Paradise corner of Gosteče). From there, the rocks of Požganija can be seen to the east, and to the left there is a view of the Upper Savinja Valley and Menina planina. The trail will lead you to a  crossroads of mountain paths, just above the Gostečnik’s homestead.

Along the trail you will find a granite monument to four fallen fighters who died during the fight against the occupier on July 2, 1944. The path continues  up the hill, past the abandoned Jug homestead. The trail markings will take you to the Planica alpine pasture, where you can rest for a bit on a bench and enjoy the view of Mozirje. Then take the road that leads to Golte. For a few minutes, the trail continues along the asphalt road, follow the markings, they will lead you into the forest. After about half an hour of walking, you will get to Mozirska koča.
