FEBRUARY, Velenje – a carnival procession
On the carnival Tuesday in Velenje, participants try to chase the winter away with masks. The carnival starts in the afternoon at Tito’s square. There is a great children’s carnival with a selection of the most original masks. The carnival is visited by more than 1,500 playful participants annually. There is no shortage of good music at the event, while the carnival committee traditionally chooses and awards the most original masks among all those present.
